Chrome only reports field data for URLs with enough visits. Smaller or newer pages show lab numbers only.

Why did I get the quick check instead?

PageSpeed Insights has a shared quota. When Google is busy or can’t load the page, we measure the raw HTML from our own server so you still get something useful. Try again later for Core Web Vitals.

Is the test mobile or desktop?

Mobile, with a simulated phone and a throttled network. It is stricter than desktop, so expect lower scores.

Why it matters

Core Web Vitals are measured on real users

Google’s page experience metrics are LCP, INP and CLS from Chrome users. Good means LCP under 2.5s, INP under 200ms and CLS under 0.1, at the 75th percentile.

Fast pages were cited more

In SE Ranking’s 129,000-domain study, pages with First Contentful Paint under 0.4s averaged 6.7 ChatGPT citations vs 2.1 for slower ones. It’s a correlation, and bigger sites tend to be faster.
